Gongde Tang, namely, Ancestral Hall, mainly enshrines past abbots and masters of Tsing Shan Monastery, including the first Master Hin Ki, the second Master Liaohuan, the third Master Da-an and the fourth Master Mengsheng. Around the entrance of the Gongde Tang are graceful stucco lotus decorations, and under the eaves are ribbon decorations for the stucco elephant statues. Elephant, one of the four animals and symbolizing power and wisdom, is a common theme in Buddhism. |
