Formerly the Tripitaka Sutra Pavilion, it is located at the clearing before Pei Tu Yan [Grotto of Master Pei Tu]. “Pei Tu Yiji” [Relics of Pei Tu] was written on its front to commemorate Master Pei Tu’s residing and preaching Buddhism in Pei Tu Yan. “Buer Famen” was written on its back. Famen can be understood as a kind of way, and all ascetics can achieve Buddhahood if they adhere to that way. Simply speaking, “Buer” means no difference. In Buddhism, all things in the world are apparently different but essentially the same: nothingness. Looking from the clearing in front of the Buer Famen, you can better appreciate the statue of Double Dragons Playing with a Pearl on the ridge of the Daxiong Baodian [Main Hall]. |
