Background of Establishment
After decades of legal proceedings, an official ruling was made on the property rights of Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) in 1998. Court Order

The dispute arising thereafter for the arrangement of the management was referred to the Court of Final Appeal. According to the Order awarded by the High Court on 23 May 2002, Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) is a public monastery, Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery was thereby established to manage Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) and its properties under trust.

Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery set up the Secretariat in December 2003 to assist in handling the affairs of Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery), and took over Tsing Shan Monastery on 10 September 2004.Scheme of Trust

Objectives of Managing Trustees
Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery aims to "Propagate Buddhism, Promote Charity" and to conduct community charitable activities.
