After taking over the monastery on 10 September 2003, Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery arranged immediate rectification and historical investigation and began extensive restorations to recover the lost glory of Tsing Shan Monastery.

In 2004, KCL Fi-Sec Limited was engaged to prepare the “Study Report on Antiques and Historic Sites of Tsing Shan Monastery” and to assess the historical values of the architectures and antiques in the monastery in light of their historical values and damages. According to this Study Report on Antiques and Historic Sites, Managing Trustees executed works at the second phase.

Environmental Conscious Architects (H.K.) Ltd was appointed as the engineering advisor in 2005. With is professional knowledge, it will provide a well-informed blueprint for the future development of Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) in line with the target of Managing Trustees. It will adhere to the principle “Preserving history” and maintain the original condition of Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) as much as possible. Meanwhile, Managing Trustees keeps developing Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery) to address the needs of modern citizens and Buddhist worshippers.

In 2006, Managing Trustees began to invite bids for the restoration project of Tsing Shan Monastery (Castle Peak Monastery). The opening hours of the monastery during the project will be announced later.
