Updated Date: 02/06/2007 Back

Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery has been showing care and concern towards the research and conservation of Hong Kong history and heritage. Now with the coming cultural heritage collecting activity which will last for a period of 18 months, Managing Trustees would like to properly preserve the cultural heritage of Tsing Shan Monastery and pass on the collective memory of the monastery.

The project is taken charge by The Conservation Committee of Cultural Heritage and Memories of Tsing Shan Monastery jointly formed by Managing Trustees of The Charitable Trust of Tsing Shan Monastery, Hong Kong and South China Historical Research Programme of Lingnan University, and the Yan Chai Hospital No. 2 Secondary School.

They will assist in collecting the experiences, feelings and memories of the members of the general public who have visited Tsing Shan Monastery. Valuable historical memories will be recorded to form oral history records, which will be the starting point of cultural heritage conservation to be passed on from generation to generation.
